New Ukrainian primate’s name commemorated in Constantinople

ORTHODOXIA.INFO | Andreas Loudaros For the first time in history the name of the primate of the church in Ukraine was heard today in Constantinople together with the names of the other patriarchs and archbishops.

During the divine liturgy attended by the Ecumenical Patriarch at St Nicholas church in Istanbul’s Yenikoy neighborhood, the patriarchal deacon serving commemorated the name of Metropolitan Yepiphaniy together with those of the other Orthodox primates, confirming the Ukrainian hierarch’s new status within the Church.
