Moscow Patriarch grateful for Alexandria Patriarch’s support for the canonical Church in Ukraine

ORTHODOXIA.INFO | Spiros Papageorgiou Patriarch Kirill of Moscow has expressed his gratitude to Patriarch Theodoros of Alexandria for the latter’s support for the canonical Church in Ukraine.

In a congratulatory message sent to Patriarch Theodoros on the anniversary of his enthronement, the Russian Patriarch writes, “I would like to note my gratitude for your efforts in supporting the canonical Church in Ukraine, a Church you are familiar with more than any other primate of the Orthodox Church.”

Patriarch Kirill also commends Patriarch Theodoros for his “zeal” in strengthening pan-Orthodox unity.

During his recent visit to Odessa, Patriarch Theodoros expressed his solidarity with the canonical Church in Ukraine and promised to take it upon himself to update all the other primates of the Orthodox Church on the developments in Ukraine in order for the ecclesiastical status quo there to remain unchanged.
