Larissa backs new school in Uganda’s ‘village of Larissans’

BUYENDE, Uganda | The Metropolis of Larissa and Tyrnavos is backing the construction of Saint Paisios Primary School in Buyende, eastern Uganda, deepening a relationship that has made the area known informally as the “village of Larissans.”

The project is being carried out in the Diocese of Jinja and Eastern Uganda, adding to infrastructure already created for children and families in the community. The effort is led from Greece by the Metropolis of Larissa and Tyrnavos, under Metropolitan Hieronymos of Larissa and Tyrnavos, in cooperation with the Orthodox Missionary Association Poreia Agapis.
